BC Rebate for Accessible
Home Adaptations

Being able to live independently in your own home is an important consideration as we age. Island Energy Retrofit helps make that possible. If your mobility is becoming more limited or impaired, and you no longer feel comfortable or safe maneuvering around your own home, we are ready to serve you with whatever you may need. We handle small upgrades such as installing ramps and handrails to expansive structure renovations such as barrier-free bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms.

Financial assistance may also be available to you through the BC Rebate for Accessible Home Adaptations. (BC RAHA). Up to $17,500 in rebates may be available to you if you qualify for this low-to-moderate income program.

The funding is available for a very wide range of adaptive needs, from installing grab bars in the bathroom to widening doorways to installing interior or exterior ramps for wheelchair or walker accessibility.
